Snowball Moon Board Book

Written in rhymes by Fran Cannon Slayton with themes of winter fun, playfulness, family, warmth, and coziness, Snowball Moon is the perfect book for your little one's bedtime routine this winter.
Rhyming books aren't only fun to read aloud, but can be beneficial for children's reading success. Studies suggest that good rhymers are more likely to become good readers. Rhymes also teach appropriate pitch, voice inflection, cadence, volume, and rhythm.

Snowball Moon is beautifully illustrated by fellow mom Tracy Nishimura Bishop. Many of the books she illustrates are read to children who don’t know how to read or are just learning how to read. Tracy always keeps this in mind as she is illustrating a book. Head over to our blog post to learn more about Tracy and her journey as a mother and illustrator!

Holiday Toy Set

Jenny & Andy Sensory Crinkle Toy

Designed for small hands to grasp, crinkle and crunch! Engage in sensory play as baby begins to recognize sound and texture through simple sensory stimulation.

Ways to play

  • Our crinkle toys are perfect for sensory play and exploration. Babies love the sound and feel of the crinkles and our high-contrast print is visually engaging too.

  • Practice imaginary play when your child is ready. Pretend its a wash cloth in kitchen and food play. Pretend you're flipping pancakes or making a sandwich. This type of symbolic play allows children to test out different roles, behaviours, and relationships, and lays down the foundation for the understanding of themselves and the world outside of themselves as well.

Our crinkle toy is made of high-quality CPSIA and EN71 compliant crinkle material stitched between two layers of 100% organic cotton decorated in our custom print. It is also machine washable! Check out all the prints and colours here

The Dough Parlour Modelling Play Dough

This modelling play dough from The Dough Parlour is handcrafted in Canada and made from 100% non-toxic ingredients. Sprinkled with glitter, our special holiday Frosty dough has a delicate, marshmallow scent for sensory engagement. We have also included an embossed pattern acrylic roller to inspire additional ways to play.

Ways to play:
  • Great for sensory play and exploration. Explore the senses by smelling, squishing, feeling, and looking.

  • Practice fine motor skills by using the roller to roll and poke and mold the play dough into different shapes. Playing with play dough (especially when using tools) also encourages bilateral coordination, the ability to use both sides of the body at once, an important motor skill for young children to develop.

  • Encourage imaginary play by making animals, people, and adding in your own props and toys.

  • Improve emotional regulation. Certain sensory activities and experiences can be calming for some children. When children learn what calms them down, they can more readily regulate their emotions and internal discomfort and learn to deal with challenging situations. Squishing play dough provides a very enjoyable and calming sensation for many!
After opening, store well-sealed in the refrigerator to optimize shelf life. Modelling dough is intended for play and is NOT edible. Please be advised that the modelling dough contains wheat ingredients. Potential choking hazard and is intended for children 2+.

Resin Numbers 0-9

These resin numbers are a great addition to play dough for both sensory play and improving cognitive skills.

Ways to play
  • Use numbers as a play dough stamp and stimulate your child's tactile senses by feeling the imprint. Have your child trace the imprint with their finger. Doing this can also help with handwriting!

  • Introduce numbers and practice counting with an added sensory experience. If your child is old enough, you can make little play dough balls and have your child match the amount of balls to the numbers. If your child is just learning to count, modify the activity and model counting each ball.
